Australia’s first driverless train has opened on the 26th May 2019. The Sydney Northwest train line has taken eight years to build and runs between Chatswood and Tallawong Station in Rouse Hill.
It will carry 18,000 passengers per hour, runs every 5 minutes during peak hours and every 10 minutes at other times. More than 20,000 people have worked on this $7 billion Australia’s public transport project and work is currently underway to extend the line from Chatswood to Bankstown.
