    Job Description

    Reporting to the Manager, Neighbourhood Projects, the Project Lead, in consultation with Senior Project Manager(s) and Project Manager(s), will be responsible for leading, facilitating and project managing the design and delivery of neighbourhood improvements related to roadways, boulevards and streetscapes.

    Within the context of human activity, both individual and institutional, an exploration of epistemological and ontological approaches to creating, organizing, preserving, and accessing information and knowledge. The design and evaluation of tools and techniques used in support of curatorship, stewardship, discovery, and use of cultural artefacts and their records. This is a graduate course.
    Qualifications: Preferably candidates will have a completed, or nearly completed, PhD degree in an area related to the course or a Master’s degree plus extensive professional experience in an area related to the course. Teaching experience is preferred.

    Intermediate Biologist/Ecologist

    Job Description

    We are currently seeking Intermediate Biologists/Ecologist or Natural Heritage Specialists in Ontario. The person who accepts this role will be working with senior leaders in our ESG group to build client relationships and help to execute and deliver projects.


    * Strong understanding of terrestrial and wetland ecosystem systems and approaches to assessing potential project effects and proposed mitigation measures.

    * Experience leading ELC, rare and invasive vegetation as well as terrestrial species at risk assessments.

    * Permitting experience with federal, provincial and local (municipal and conservation authority) permitting and approvals processes.

    * Work with senior leaders to help grow opportunities of our existing environmental consulting practice in the areas of ESIAs and permitting and natural heritage systems.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    * Post-Secondary Education in, Biology, planning, environmental science, or environmental, management and/or a related discipline.

    * Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in managing and delivering environmental assessment and/or inventories.

    * Demonstrated project execution and client engagement experience.

    * Well-versed in defendable or standardized survey methodologies and a thorough understanding of Provincial and Federal permitting and approvals and regulatory requirements.

You will ensure liaison with outside counsel.

    We are looking for a candidate with the following:

    * Minimum 10 years labour relations and employment law (including pension and benefits), experience acquired in either private practice or in-house but including significant experience in pleading and representation work.

    * Member of the Ontario Bar

    * Ability to defend principled positions, while contributing to the realization of corporate objectives and conciliating diverging points of views

    * Highly developed skills in negotiating complex agreements and leading sensitive discussions aimed at settling litigation or other cases liable to go before the courts.

    * Superior oral and written communication and public-speaking skills to convey critical information to clients
