Social Research Coordinator

Job Description

The University of Auckland. The School of Psychology is seeking to appoint a Social Research Coordinator to provide specialised technical support and advice to postgraduate students, researchers and academic staff for research activity in the area of Social and Developmental Psychology. This role is permanent and full-time.

As a Social Research Coordinator, you will bring your passion for Social and Developmental Psychology in providing a range of specialist technical support across a variety of quantitative and qualitative research projects.

To be successful in this role, you will have

* A Master’s degree in Social or Developmental Psychology (or related discipline such as Sociology)

* Experience in technical research support in areas relevant to Social or Developmental Psychology, or government, including the use of a range of different research methods and analysis techniques for quantitative and qualitative research designs.

Job Description

As a Special Education Advisor/Learning Support Advisor you will play a critical role in our region’s Learning Support team by:

* supporting parents and whānau, teachers and schools to meet the learning support needs of children and young people

* developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with a range of professional partners, community and sector groups and support agencies to ensure that services are coordinated and effective
