Prince Harry and Meghan Markle arrived at the Endeavour Fund Awards in London, marking their first official engagement together since the couple announced that they would step away from their royal duties.
Meghan Markle said in her speech “It’s very nice to be back. It’s the third year that I’ve had the incredible fortune of joining my husband here, and as you all know; and I can feel, it is the most inspiring space…I will say when we were watching the videos, all the way in Canada, we had the same moments as you too – How are you going to choose? So, we’ve done our best.”

Prince Harry gave a heartfelt speech, where he said he was “proud to always” serve the Queen
“Being able to serve the Queen and country is something we’re all rightly proud of. It never leaves us. Once served, always serving,” he said.
“Leaving the military and hanging up your uniform is an incredibly hard thing to do, but being forced to hang it up due to injury beyond your control can be even more difficult to accept.”
“The Endeavour Fund is not just about recovery; it’s about discovering a new way of living – finding a new sense of purpose and you have most definitely found that.”
“A lot of you tonight have told me you have my back. Well, I’m also here to tell you, I’ve always got yours,” he said.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle witnessed a surprise marriage proposal. One of the winners use the opportunity and proposed to his girlfriend on stage after being honoured with the Recognising Achievement Award.
Meghan Markle wore a light blue Victoria Beckham pencil dress with a zip running all the way up the back. The dress was worn with a pair of navy-blue suede Jimmy Choo shoes.
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their son Archie plan on splitting their time between Canada and England in the future. This is the first of various royal engagements before stepping down from their royal duties on March 31.
